Calibration Services

Calibration is an operation that, under specified conditions, in a first step, establishes a relation between the quantity values with measurement uncertainties provided by measurement standards and corresponding indications with associated measurement uncertainties and, in a second step, uses this information to establish a relation for obtaining a measurement result from an indication.

NABL has accredited RPL’s calibration laboratory as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017. The scope of accreditation can be downloaded from here.

ISO/IEC 17025:2017 specifies the requirements for the competence, impartiality and consistent operation of laboratories.

The accreditation provides additional confidence to our customers in our laboratory’s service delivery.

We provide calibration in the disciplines of:

A) Radiological Calibration

B) Electro-Technical Calibration

C) Optical

D) Medical Devices

1 NaI detector (additional NaI or HPGe detectors can be installed)

Gamma emmiters can be tracked

Customizable scan speed

Lead shielding of 100 mm for the detector and 50 mm for the rest of the equipment

Temperature: 0ºC - 50ºC

Humidity max: 90% noncond

Software 100% customizable

HS-RAM

The HS-RAM (Radiation Monitor) is a multi- task device designed for the detection and measurement of gamma radiation on potentially exposed personnel. It has 8 large- area plastic scintillation detectors distributed over walls, floors and ceilings, creating 8 sensitive areas that work autonomously and independently, allowing simultaneous measurements with different levels of alarm. It can be operated bi-directionally due to its presence detection system.

SPECIFICATIONS:

8 plastic scintillation detectors

Efficiencies: >30% (Co-60), >15% (Cs-137), >6% (Ba-133)

Lead shielding of 20 mm

Temperature: 0ºC - 50ºC

Humidity max: 90% noncond

Software 100% customizable

BOMO

The BOdy MOnitor v.2BG SZC is a multi-task equipment designed for the detection and measurement of radioactive contamination, BETA and GAMMA, on potentially exposed personnel. It has been specifically designed for Controlled area exits.

SPECIFICATIONS:

6 plastic scintillation detectors for gamma detection

15 plastic scintillation detectors for beta detection

Efficiencies: >30% (Co-60), >15% (Cs-137), >6% (Ba-133)

Analysis time: < 1 min

Lead shielding of 50 mm

Temperature: 0ºC - 50ºC

Humidity max: 90% noncond
