Mammography

MAM IQ

Mammography image quality phantom comprising a PMMA housing and a tissue equivalent insert with embedded contrast details.

TOR MAM

TOR MAM mammography phantom – provides a more “natural” image which may be preferred by radiographers and radiologists.

The top (left) half contains a range of filaments, micro-particles and low-contrast details, representing pathological features in the breast. These are sensitive to the mammographic grey-scale, noise and unsharpness, and can be used to obtain an image-quality “score”.

The lower (right) half simulates the appearance of breast tissue and contains micro-calcification in addition to fibrous and nodular details.

TOR MAS

Enables the following checks to be made:

Ten-step grey-scale plus two points for Sensitometric measurements.

Resolution limit (1.0 to 20.0 LP/mm) x 1

Low-contrast large-detail detectability (12 details, 5.6mm diameter)

High-contrast small-detail detectability (11 details, 0.5 and 0.25mm diameter)

Irregular-shaped particles on a step-wedge background (median sizes 125, 234, 328 microns representing micro-calcifications).

Low Contrast Resolution Pattern (1.8 to 5 line pairs/mm, representing filamentary structures).

TOR MAX

TOR MAX enables the following checks to be made:

Ten-step grey-scale plus two points for Sensitometric measurements.

Resolution limit (1.0 to 20.0 LP/mm) x 2

Low-contrast large-detail detectability (12 details, 5.6mm diameter)

High-contrast small-detail detectability (11 details, 0.5 and 0.25mm diameter)

Irregular-shaped particles on a step-wedge background (median sizes 125, 225, 325 microns representing micro-calcifications).

Low Contrast Resolution Pattern (1.8 to 5 line pairs/mm, representing filamentary structures).

TOMO IQ

TOMO IQ is a set of image quality phantoms for testing of tomosynthesis mammography systems.

This phantom enables:

AEC checks

Detector homogeneity

Geometric distortion

Z-resolution

DMAM2

DMAM2 is a set mammography phantom for digital mammography systems, designed to be used quickly and easily on a regular basis to provide an ongoing check of imaging performance, particularly those aspects which are most liable to deterioration. An ongoing record of the results of these checks will reveal any trend towards deterioration in imaging performance.

DMAM2 Gold

A variant of the gold contrast detail phantom from DMAM 2.

PIXMAM 3D

PIXMAM-3D is a routine image quality phantom for testing of digital breast tomosynthesis mammography systems

PIXMAM-3D allows the following tests to be conducted:

AEC checks

Detector homogeneity

Geometric distortion

CNR

Image resolution

Z-resolution test

Agatha

Agatha is an image quality phantom used for constancy testing of digital breast tomosynthesis systems.

Agatha features & tests:

Features for testing missing tissue from chest wall (30% fatty / 70% glandular tissue)

4 nylon wires for testing Line Object Spread Function (LOSF).

Perpendicular nylon wire for testing Signal-Difference-to-Noise-Ratio (SDNR).

Tilted Tungsten wire for z-direction sensitivity profiles (ZSP)

3 spherical inserts for testing:

Reconstruction effects on SDNR and ASF (0.5mm dia. Al sphere)

TO PASMAM

Developed according to the PAS 1054 guidelines for digital mammography, this phantom is designed to check the image quality performance of digital mammography systems.

PIXMAM

PIXMAM is a digital mammography image quality phantom comprising a stack of finely toleranced PMMA plates.

PIXMAM allows the following tests to be conducted;

VOXMAM

A breast tissue simulating test object designed to be used to compare image quality between different exposure parameters within a single system or across different breast tomosynthesis systems.

Coarto Force Gauge

COARTO is a digital force gauge which allows the user to measure breast compression on mammography systems.

CoreView

A kit of test objects designed to be used for an ongoing check of imaging performance on dedicated core biopsy imaging systems, and specifically sized to fit the market-leading COREVISION system.
